many historical factors have converged to shape the conflict over Moroccan Sahara, weather within the framework of colonial polities or through the formation of regional positions that seek to undermine Morocco’s efforts to complete its territorial unity, and achieving anticipate geopolitical gains, this is essentially due to the strategic importance that this region has historically held and continues hold. In response, Morocco has pursued various instruments aimed at achieving an objective and realistic to compromise through negotiation, Most notably the autonomy plan proposed in 2007 for the Southern Saharan Provinces, after more than 18 years, this initiative has gained the international recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over Sahara, as reflected in UN security Council Resolution 2797, alongside this diplomatic approach, Morocco has undertaken substantial investments to develop the region by lunching major projects that contribute, first, to enhancing economic and social development in the area, an second, to strengthening regional integration between Morocco and its African roots.
