This research paper aims to examine urban water consumption in the city of Taza and to assess the quality of services provided by the Autonomous Regional Water and Electricity Distribution Agency of Taza (Régie Autonome de Distribution d'Eau et d'Électricité de Taza – RADEETA). It further seeks to contribute to promoting a culture of rational water use and sound water management, particularly within the urban sphere and, more broadly, within society at large. To accomplish this study, a geographical approach was adopted, based on describing and explaining the underlying factors of the phenomenon under investigation, with the aim of arriving at conclusions and generalizations that could be extended to other regions. The findings of this research paper can be summarized as follows: first, there is a continuous increase in the demand for urban water across the various consuming sectors; second, the growing number of subscribers has contributed to rising water demand; third, domestic consumption accounts for a significant share of overall urban water use; fourth, water accessibility remains notably weaker in the marginalized areas of Taza compared to the rest of the city's neighborhoods; and fifth, RADEETA has undertaken considerable efforts to improve the quality of the water services it provides.
