Commitment to Open Access

The Journal of Strategic and Military Studies (JSMS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Arab Democratic Center for Strategic, Political, and Economic Studies, Berlin, Germany.

The journal is firmly committed to promoting the free and widespread dissemination of scholarly knowledge and supports the principles of open access as defined by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI, 2002). These principles emphasize the importance of making scientific research freely accessible through the public internet, removing financial and technical barriers to accessing scholarly publications, and fostering the global exchange of knowledge.

In accordance with this commitment, JSMS provides immediate, free, and permanent online access to all published articles, without subscription fees, registration requirements, or embargo periods. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, print, search, and share published research, subject to the terms of the journal's Creative Commons licence.

By adopting an open-access publishing model, JSMS seeks to enhance the visibility, accessibility, dissemination, and scholarly impact of scientific research while encouraging international academic cooperation and equitable access to knowledge.
