Over the past three decades, the widespread diffusion of digital technologies has had a profound impact on all aspects of individuals’ social lives across the globe. The digital revolution has reshaped the relationships between various domains, including the link between migration and development. In this context, this paper seeks to critically examine the relationship between digital transformations and the dynamics of migration and development. These transformations not only affect employment opportunities and social integration, but also reshape the motives and trajectories of migration. Moreover, they provide migrants with new developmental roles, both in countries of residence and countries of origin. The paper analyzes how digital transformations are reconfiguring the relationship between migration and development.
