Abstract

The aim of the present article is to shed light on Morocco’s endeavors to facilitate the integration of Sub-Saharan migrants into Moroccan society through a range of legal provisions and legislation designed to help migrants integrate positively within the social tissue. As integral part of Moroccan society today, migrants from sub-Saharan Africa are and should therefore enjoy all crucial rights. From this point of view, this article provides an opportunity to examine the reality of sub-Saharan migrants within Moroccan society, in the context of Morocco’s efforts to support the integration of such population segment.

Deliberately we sought to combine an analysis in this work of certain Moroccan laws that constitutes part of the country’s policy for managing African migration with the concept of social integration as a priority that Morocco aims to achieve through various public policies and programs which take into account the human dimension of migration.

We fundamentally concluded that the integration of sub-Saharan Africans into Moroccan social underlying structure presents numerous challenges, including constraints linked to the migrants themselves and others related to the new  )Moroccan(  social environment. Moreover, achieving successful integration for these migrants depends totally on the pace of their participation in various social activities.
