This study examines the relationship between migration and development in the Federal Republic of Germany by analyzing the economic and demographic factors that have made migration a strategic instrument for addressing labor shortages and sustaining economic growth. It explores Germany's migration governance, refugee management policies, and strategies for attracting highly skilled workers, while highlighting the challenges of integrating migrants into the labor market and society. The study further investigates the contribution of migrants to economic development through increased productivity, innovation, and the mitigation of demographic aging, as well as their role in promoting social and cultural development. In addition, it discusses the impact of migration on countries of origin through remittances, knowledge transfer, and human capital mobility. The study concludes that the German experience demonstrates that well-managed migration, supported by effective recruitment and integration policies, constitutes a key driver of sustainable development and economic competitiveness while strengthening social cohesion in the face of contemporary demographic and economic challenges.
